Location: CTONSOUTHPARKST Southwire Job Description Job Summary/Objective: This position has the primary responsibility of creating long term strategic relationships with an appropriate supply base to support meeting the financial objectives of the overall business. The incumbent is responsible for leading cost control and cost reduction activities associated with the acquisition of finished goods, machinery & equipment, spare parts & services to support the Southwire Operations. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supplier selection, contract negotiation, bid analysis, issuing purchase orders, reporting analysis, & system training. This position will also maintain a positive working relationship with the supplier network and internal customers including cohorts from all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities: --- Responsible for all purchases related to special projects. Including but not limited to finished goods, machinery, equipment, indirect services, and spare parts. --- A subject matter expert on market trends impacting assigned commodities --- Lead the effort in problem solving analysis to address inefficiencies in the procure to pay process. --- Responsible for leading supplier negotiations, continuously seeking cost savings opportunities through competitive bidding, establishing supplier agreements, supporting strategic working capital objectives related to standardization of pay terms --- Partner with Sourcing leadership with implementation and compliance of policies impacting the procure to pay process. --- Lead strategic goal related to continuous cost savings and working capital improvement Responsible for all purchases related to special projects. Including but not limited to finished goods, machinery, equipment, indirect services, and spare parts. --- Be process and data driven with actions and improvements. --- Lead the effort in problem solving analysis to address inefficiencies in the procure to pay process. --- Responsible for leading supplier negotiations, continuously seeking cost savings opportunities through competitive bidding, establishing supplier agreements, supporting strategic working capital objectives related to standardization of pay terms --- Partner with Sourcing leadership with implementation and compliance of policies impacting the procure to pay process. --- Lead strategic goal related to continuous cost savings and working capital improvement --- Champion the continuous improvement mindset and actions related to the purchasing function. --- Coordinate with sales, engineers and project managers as needed Education, Experience, and Skills Required Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Years of Experience: 10+ Preferred Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Years of Experience: 10+ Other --- 5-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, warehouse management, supply chain management --- Advanced knowledge of SAP in the manufacturing industry. --- Advanced knowledge of Excel & Share Point. --- Experience leading and training a team. --- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail Competencies Action Oriented Balances Stakeholders Collaborates Customer Focus Nimble Learning Plans and Aligns Benefits We Offer:
