Job Description Frito-Lay Warehouse Pickers are Seasonal Warehouse Material Handlers responsible for a variety of warehouse duties in our state-of-the-art automated warehouse referred to as (GES) Geographic Enterprise Systems. A key component of Pepsi Co's success, Frito-Lay has been making and distributing the very best snacks for over 80 years. Although you will start out working as seasonal, this job can open the door to career opportunities. It's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift. Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during the workday: - Accurately pick appropriate product on an automatic belt picking system, while using required technology such as Pick-To-Light and Vulcan
- Audit cases for accuracy. Review and correct issues with problem cases for various reasons (label/scanning issues, etc.).
- Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer.
- Ensure successful individual performance by meeting or exceeding performance time standards.
- Monitor label/print machines to ensure no jams. Clear jams if necessary and ensure cases route accurately. Utilize WCS (Warehouse Control System) to address system faults.
- Operate auto case erector (ACE). Empty Carton Recycle, which requires organizing cartons and putting usable cartons back into the GES system.
- Carton unloading, sorting, orienting, bailing & trailer loading prep.
- Proper cart handling and storage throughout the warehouse & trailers loading and unloading process.
- Autonomous maintenance activity as required by task.
- Individuals will be required to successfully complete certifications in various tasks.
- Participate in team meetings and training.
- Distribute product and assist in weekly product inventory.
- General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc.)
- All other duties as assigned.
