With the leadership and motivation from the Director of Housekeeping, the heartbeat of the Hotel - the Housekeeping team, will ensure our guestrooms and public spaces are impeccably cleaned and well maintained for each and every guest.What you will be doing:
    • Manage strategic planning and implementation processes for the Housekeeping department
    • Maintain ownership and awareness of the departmental operating budget and ensure effective resource allocation, including scheduling, productivity & vacation planning
    • Promote high morale through recognition and removal of identified barriers driving overall engagement and colleague satisfaction
    • Ensure rooms and service standards are implemented and audited for quality and consistency as well as accurately tracking and addressing all guest comments and concerns
    • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and records of all guestroom items and ensure appropriate par stocks are maintained
    • Comply with all safety regulations, promoting a clean and safe work environment
    • Carry out any other tasks as assigned
      Your experience and skills include:
      • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
      • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
      • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
      • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
      • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
      • Previous management experience, 3 years' minimum, in a hotel rooms division setting is required, previous department head experience is an asset
      • Proficient in the use of relevant software an asset (eg. Microsoft Office, Property Management Systems)
      • University or college degree/diploma in a related field is an asset
      • Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate colleagues
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
      • Highly organized and energetic, with a proactive approach to getting the job done
      • Self-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions and manage various projects/tasks at one time
      • Ability to consistently stand and walk throughout shift
      • Available to work a schedule that reflects the business levels and needs of the hotel
