We are excited to share an incredible opportunity to join one of our luxury hotel projects - Green Coast Palase Beach Hotel - MGallery Collection and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sales Manager.Job Description
The Director of Sales is responsible for initiating, planning, directing and managing the implementation of the sales strategy for the hotel.The Director of Sales oversees and directs all aspects of the hotel's sales operations, including distribution and pricing strategy. The Director of sales leads, directs, and motivates the sales team to ensure the yearly sales budget is achieved and surpassed.We are looking for a dynamic and confident individual with an international mindset, who knows what it takes to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.Main Responsibilities and Duties
Financial returns:
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans.
  • Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales.
  • Review monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.
  • Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients.
  • Attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business and increase sales opportunities for the hotel.People:
  • Direct day-to-day sales activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
  • Recruit, select, train, and motivate the Sales team to realize their potential and achieve hotel revenue goals.
  • Ensure staff have the information, market data, tools and equipment to successfully carry out job duties.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food and beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.Guest experience:
  • Provide guests with information to enhance their experience, such as loyalty programs, area attractions, restaurants, and facility information.
  • Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
  • Communicate all pertinent information and special needs for arriving VIPs, large groups, and other key guests to appropriate departments.
  • Lead efforts to upsell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities.Responsible business:
  • Monitor all top-line production and adjust activities, budgets, segment coverage, and sales priorities as necessary to achieve plan goals.
  • Identify operational problems that reduce the effectiveness of overall hotel sales performance and work with appropriate department on solutions.
  • Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotel.
  • Oversee the organization and execution of familiarization/site inspection trips by major clients.
  • Effectively communicate and market sustainable or "green" aspects of the hotel to gain new business opportunities.
  • Execute online and offline campaigns to reach specific markets and achieve the goals set out in the hotel sales plan.
  • Maintain a high level of exposure online and offline for the hotel in major markets.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in BA, marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales setting, with direct supervisory experience over a sales team. Previous opening experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal. Other languages preferred.Main Competencies
