As well as support sales staff by receiving product, pull orders, pack orders, ship orders, load and unload trucks, count inventory, pull outdates by performing the following duties.Key Responsibilities - Customer Relations & Service: Maintain positive relationships with current and prospective customers, providing expert advice on animal health, feed, mineral products, and treatments. Actively engage with customers to gather feedback and address their needs, ensuring superior service through strong collaboration with the company's service organization.
- Order Assembly & Fulfillment: Assemble and fill customer orders by accurately selecting products from stock and placing them on pallets or shelves. Coordinate the distribution of orders, ensuring materials and items are shipped, loaded into customer vehicles, or delivered as needed.
- Packaging & Shipping: Package materials securely for shipment, ensuring all items are properly labeled with identifying information. Prepare parcels for mailing, and assist with the dispatch and delivery of animal health products, minerals, and feed.
- Receiving & Sorting: Unpack boxes of received goods, carefully sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence (e.g., size, type, style, color, product code). For perishable goods, store items in refrigerated rooms as appropriate.
- Shipping/Receiving Operations: Open bales, crates, and other containers, ensuring accurate recording of materials or items received or distributed. Load and unload trucks, operating forklifts or vehicles to transport items between the warehouse and stores.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor stock levels to minimize shrinkage, ensuring proper control over product supply and inventory turnover. Pull and remove expired products as needed.
- Retail Inventory Maintenance: Actively participate in maintaining store inventory by managing product flow, receiving deliveries, packing and shipping orders, and ensuring proper merchandising. Assist with stock replenishment and product placement based on company objectives.
- Sales Support: Assist in counter sales, providing product knowledge and contributing to the active selling of products. Support outside sales teams with order processing and invoicing, delivering products to local customers as needed.Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Relevant Experience - 2+ years related experience and/or training in ranching or dairy.
- Basic knowledge of IT (Internet, Excel, Power
Point, Word, or facilities with systems)Language Skills Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required in order to communicate well with all levels of management and employees as well as customers.--Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.--
