Essential Functions - Provide exceptional customer service and verify that all employees of the location are doing the same.
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the retention and acquisition of accounts by growing existing accounts and generating new business to a level that meets or exceeds sales forecasts.
- Execute all aspects of the sales and marketing plans to surpass revenue goals, including making outside sales calls and cold calls while maintaining relationships with current accounts.
- Collaborate with General Manager to build and maintain relationships with key clients and create and solicit new business through innovative means.
- Lead the management of the hotel staff to increase hotel profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Assist General Manager in overseeing the interviewing, hiring, training, work direction, and performance management of all employees.
- Contribute to the successful development of the staff.
- Oversee the activities of all staff members to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Assist General Manager to review all departmental schedules for accuracy and staffing demands.
- Assist General Manager with annual salary reviews and ensure that all employee wages follow federal, state, and local wage and hour guidelines.
- Assist General Manager by reviewing and maintaining accurate records of the hotel's funds and information, including cash flow sheets, accounts receivable and payable, credit card reconciliations, and registration information.
- Review and validate vendor invoices.
- Assist with advertising and marketing campaigns for the hotel.
- Offer guests assistance whenever possible.
- Resolve escalated customer relations issues.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
- Address guest requests to ensure customer satisfaction with the hotel's services and accommodations.
- Positively represent and promote the property.
- Ensure systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.
- Fill in vacant shifts as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.Typical Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Requires standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons, as well as fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
