Warehouse Associate

Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Clerk to handle warehouse cargo, including forklift operations, truck driving, and cargo handling for airline shipments.

Salary - $18-$20 per hour

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo in and out of the warehouse, preparing shipments for airlines, and any clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forklift Operation:
    • Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move cargo within the warehouse and onto/out of trucks. Ensure correct placement and securing of goods to avoid damage.
    • Truck Driving:
      • Transport cargo between the warehouse and the airport, ensuring timely delivery of shipments to airline carriers. Load and unload trucks as needed.
      • Cargo Handling:
        • Prepare, palletize, and secure cargo for airline transportation. Handle fragile or special cargo with care, ensuring all shipments meet airline and aviation standards.
        • Shipping and Receiving:
          • Process and verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in counts and documentation. Coordinate with airline cargo handlers for timely dispatch.
          • Compliance and Safety:
            • Follow all safety protocols, ensuring that cargo handling complies with airline and aviation safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
              Requirements:

              Experience:
              • Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
                Licenses and Certifications:
                • Driver's License for truck driving.
                • Valid forklift operator s license (preferred).
                • Additional certifications for handling hazardous or special cargo (preferred).
                  Skills:
                  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and commercial trucks.
                  • Strong understanding of cargo handling and shipping procedures, particularly for airlines.
                  • Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance regulations for aviation cargo handling.
                  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
                    Physical Requirements:
                    • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 40lbs) and work on your feet for extended periods.
                    • Capacity to work in varying conditions (e.g., outdoors, in the warehouse)
                      Preferred Qualifications:
                      • Experience working in cargo handling or logistics operations related to industry for 2-3 years.
