As we build on the Filson legacy of American craftsmanship, we are looking for individuals who share our dedication to innovation, excellence, and superior customer service.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Retail Ops Partner, Allocation and Finance is a primary partner of the retail team overseeing the product assortment in stores, financial planning, and labor planning. This role will develop and execute store level item plans that achieve our strategic, financial, and creative goals. Serves as a key analytical partner to the cross-functional category team, offering insights and recommending action. Plays a key role in driving sales-per-square foot, inventory turns and sell thru while maintaining our visual standards and coordinated GTM experiences. This role will also take the lead on several high-visibility projects including building and managing a labor model and store bonus plans. We are in a state of growth and evolution, and this role will have the opportunity to play a significant part in defining the future at Filson.Responsibilities
  • Prepare pre-season plans for sales, gross margin, and inventory (breadth, depth, and content)
  • Develop and maintain store-level item plans in support of our financial objectives and coordinated deliveries and selling experiences
  • Work cross-functionally with the Merch Planning and Merchandising teams
  • Partner with the DC team to execute weekly replenishment orders
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver performance reporting (product selling, KPIs, etc.)
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as directed to address business questions, and support our growth agenda
  • Play key role in development of new processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Analyze product selling trends weekly for stores from a macro level (category/trend) to a micro level (color/size/channel) and recommends actions
  • Build and monitor the labor model for all stores in North America, ensuring labor hours are being used strategically across the fleet.
  • Build and monitor the Store Bonus plan, ensure we are incentivizing performance and updating as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy in the monthly store P&Ls, leading the process to analyze and maximize ROI
  • Plan monthly and Daily sales plans across stores, forecasting based on macro and per store trends.
  • Consolidate data on actual financial results and carry out variance analysis to identify why stores met, exceeded, or fell short of financial targets
  • Provide financial training for Store and Area Managers
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree preferably in related discipline.
    • 2+ years' experience in Finance Allocation or Store Planning, preferably at a vertical retailer
    • Ability to think holistically across strategic, financial, and creative objectives
    • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of driving insights into actions
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Has a well-informed, and strong voice to effectively communicate with cross-functional partners
    • Proficiency with MS Office a must, strong Excel skills required,
    • ERP experience, with Netsuite as a plus
