Hotel Clermont is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Tiny Lou's. As a historic landmark known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional dining experiences, we are looking for a visionary chef to elevate our culinary offerings. The Executive Chef is the guiding force behind the culinary mission of the restaurant. They will create a culture to serve and execute to attract, hire, and retain the best talent. To be successful, the applicant's knowledge, dedication, and commitment to the restaurant and guest experience must be readily apparent to staff and guests alike. Being hands-on and training your team is one of the most important pieces of the role. This is a multi-skilled position in which leadership qualities and the ability to run a profitable department are as important as cooking ability and palate. In the oversight of a kitchen that is always evolving, the Executive Chef tweaks as necessary, implementing efficiencies wherever possible. The menu of a successful food and beverage program is a work in progress, rooted in strong signature dishes based on market, regional, and seasonal ingredients and reflective of relationships the Executive Chef develops with the region's best suppliers. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: --- Lead the culinary team at Tiny Lou's in Hotel Clermont, Atlanta, GA, US. --- Infuse local flavors into recipes to embody and enhance the region's essence. --- Exceed guest expectations in delivery, presentation, and flavor profiles. --- Cultivate a loyal customer base. --- Foster professional relationships with local suppliers and maximize regional ingredients. --- Stay informed about regional ingredients, seasonal availability, and varieties. --- Develop strong connections with chefs on regional and national levels. --- Build and mentor a proficient management team. --- Train and guide kitchen line and utility staff effectively. --- Implement seamless kitchen service processes integrating BOH and FOH operations. --- Ensure kitchen organization, cleanliness, and maintenance are top-notch. --- Supervise menu development, kitchen operations, and maintenance. --- Oversee all aspects of hiring, training, and staff management. --- Create weekly kitchen schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels. --- Manage HR actions for the BOH team and handle all related documentation. --- Conduct regular management and employee reviews. --- Monitor and evaluate food, labor, and operating expenses to control costs. --- Collaborate with vendors to source new items at competitive prices. --- Pursue continuous improvement for self, staff, and the restaurant. --- Address feedback from guest surveys promptly and make necessary adjustments. --- Support the Events Department in securing business, delivering service, and driving revenue. --- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to promote the restaurant brand across various media channels. --- Utilize social media platforms effectively to enhance the property's visibility and reputation. Qualifications: --- Advanced knowledge of the food and beverage industry. --- Demonstrated exceptional mastery of recipes, techniques and ingredients. --- Previous press and media exposure experience is a plus. --- Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office and familiar with industry-standard software. --- Must pass a background check. --- Hospitality experience preferred --- Must be eligible to work in the USA About Company: Located on the historic Ponce de Leon Ave in the heart of Atlanta, Hotel Clermont boasts 93 carefully appointed rooms with modern conveniences and splendid views.
