OVERVIEW: The role manages a fabric development process that is aligned and supports our VB strategies, suggests enhancements as needed. Develops and maintains an organized, updated fabric and wash library that is a value-add resource for our Design partners. Build and maintain a close relationship with key partners such as Design, Trend, Global Sourcing & Product Development, Fabric Team, Quality and Suppliers. Participates in seasonal concept meetings to understand fabric trend direction, fabric needs across brands, guides the seasonal key material selection process, and recommends raw material synergies where applicable across brands/styles to improve costing, reduce our risk of liabilities and provide us with the flexibility to react to the business, thus increasing profitability. Lead all cross functional discussions related to Fabric. Ensure there is a robust development approved section, create and update core fabric boards bi-annually and communicate recommendations to cross functional partners for leveraging qualities across divisions. Evaluate current fabric categories in library and coordinate with Design/Trend to identify areas in need of expansion. Maintain mill competency chart. Support Dick's sustainability initiatives looking for opportunities at mill and fabric level, working toward the defined company goals. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Fabric
